BASKL Registration Fees

  • Sport Kite Competition: $12.00
Still the best deal in town! Compete in as many disciplines as you want including Open Kite Making and Fighter Kite Competitions!
    Hot Tricks!
    • At every BASKL sponsored event you will get your chance to show your stuff. Rules are the same as at BKF (two trick pilots must "fly-off" against each other in three alternating 30- second bursts of radical trick flying), which means just about anything goes. This competition format is fast, exciting, and fun for competitors and spectators alike. Who can handle the pressure! Open to quad, dual-line or single-line sport kites. Starts right after the flier’s meeting so we recommend you come early, get registered and have your kite ready.
    All Precision Fliers
    • Remember all precision events are flown "STANDARD" style. The AKA has decided to fly all precision events at the convention standard style in accordance with the international community and BASKL has elected to follow the AKA’s lead. You can brush up on your standard style rules on the AKA web site at  http://www.aka.kite.org/publications.shtml#rule_books
  • Open Kite Making: $6.00
The Bay Area Sport Kite League is proud, to include open kite making competition at BASKL events. We will be using a simplified version of the AKA rules. Bring your hand made kite artistry with you, brighten the skies, share your work with other kite enthusiast and maybe walk away with first place. So pull out your kite making supplies and create a new masterpiece or just something that flies.

We will be using a simplified version of the AKA rules. Contact Susan for more info at (408) 554-8399.

  • Fighter Kite Competition: $12.00
Yes, a fighter line-touch competition is in the schedule and there are even loaner kites available if you don’t have your own! It's a new competition open to anyone who wants to get out there and wage battle with other flyers at all BASKL events. If you are not familiar with this type of competition, now is a good time to come on out to a BASKL event and see one for yourself.
  • Indoor: $25.00 (Competition and Free Fly)
First time indoor fliers can "Free Fly" for free.
